Do you catch yourself struggle to put your phone down. Due to the social media, or eye catching moments down your timeline?

Well most teens In our generation are having this problem today. Teens took a survey that stated 44% of teens struggle putting their phone down even though they know they need a break.

“I know our generation needs help. Technology can take over. We’re constantly on our phone and could miss out sometimes”, Alonzo Campbell said.

Some people think that you can learn more from social media. While others believe that social media can make things worse such as scenarios , or missing out on the present time in there life.

“I believe that phones can pull families away. Like they won’t get the same attention, because there on there phone”, Danette Lillard said

Phones have the ability to strengthen relationships with people that are far away, and distance to those that’s close. As much as families want to break this streak of teens using so much technology, they depend on it for homework.

“In our generation work is easier. If we don’t get it we can just look online”,Romell Nix said.

Teachers either make work or get it from the internet. It’s easy for kids to get there work done when 73% of teens have access to the internet daily.

Technology isn’t always a bad thing. Some teens can get noticed that way, or can publish their talents for the world to see. Also the connection with communicating from a far distance is a very good advantage. Especially if they want to get into college. They can easily email a school.

“For example YouTube is free advertisement. People get noticed, and advertise things”, Lillard said.

Social media can also have problems. Teens can get cyber bullied or teased. So the fact that most teens have access to social media and can tease others can be a problem. That’s one problem of why some kids can commit suicide.

There are apps that are used for parents to access what their child does on their smartphone. Some teens can’t control how much they use their phone, but they can control what they say. If they know that there parent can see what there doing problems wouldn’t occur as much. Due to the fact that they know they being watched.

Teens and technology can have its pros and cons. In the meantime it’s all how we use it.
