Presidential Tweets

There are millions of people who are active members on social media. One of those millions of people happen to be our 45th president also known as Donald Trump.

Trump is an active member of twitter and tweets things that maybe the POTUS shouldn’t tweet. His tweets can be very controversial. Some even provoking other countries into nuclear warfare.

“North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the “nuclear button is on his desk at all times.” will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that i too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger and more powerful one than his, and my button works!,” Trump tweets on January 2nd, 2018 at 4:49pm.

This tweet back-lashed and sparked controversy through the American people. This is importantly because he had the intent of teasing a country that America is already on thin ice with.

“It just seems immature to bring the problem to social media,” say Daniella Werner a junior at Crete Monee High School.

The tweet got so popular that it was even a trending meme for a short time. The tweet was trending reaching over 100,000 retweets and over 500,000 likes, this was just shortly after it was posted.

Trump’s tweets have fired and even hired government officials, banned transgender men and women from serving in the military, and has even undercut negotiations with foreign nations. These tweets are sent out for everyone, everywhere to see.

“Twitter honestly just make the move and delete his account,” says Gabrielle Randle a Crete Monee High School alumni.

Mr.Trump even calls out Hollywood actress Meryl Streep after her comment about him at the Golden Globes. He tweets calling the actress “one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood”. He says this after Streep makes comments about him without using his name at the 2017 Golden Globes Ceremony.

Along with that Trump even tries to call out the former president of the united states Barack Obama. In his tweet he insults and his “manhood”. He even refers to Obama as “THE WORST PRESIDENT EVER,”. Trump even goes on to say “he will now do something really bad and totally stupid to show manhood!,”. He tweets this 3 years before he was elected and when Obama was on his 1st year of his second term.

Last but definitely not least his tweets come off as being very systematically racist. The tweets seem to have a very loud prejudice tone to them.

As an example Donald Trump tweets “sadly the overwhelming amount of violent crime in our major cities is committed by blacks and hispanics,”.
