Deshaun Watson was recently drafted in the 1st round, with the number 12th overall pick to the Houston Texans. After the big accomplishment with leading the Clemson Tigers to a big National Championship game win. This was his biggest dream ever since he was young, and his dreams are finally becoming true.
Deshaun stayed on top of everything such as grades, conditioning, and working out so he can get better as a person and also help him get more look from the NFL. Especially with bringing his team to the Championship and getting that ring, so he made sure everyone on the team was on top of their game.
Watson lead the Tigers to a 14-1 winning record. After their season they make it all the way to the National Championship. As they make their way to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida the team stays focused and game ready because they knew the Alabama Crimson Tide are going to want that championship ring as much as them.
This game took place on January 9, 2017. Deshaun and the Clemsons played well and came out with a big close game win of 35-31 over Alabama. Deshaun rushed for 43 yards, threw for 420 yards of passing and 3 touchdowns.
A couple months later Deshaun was selected to be in the NFL draft. The Draft took place on April 27, 2017 in Philadelphia. As the day approaches, he’s very excited and happy because his dream is becoming true. On the 27th of April Deshaun was picked and welcomed to the
National Football League with the overall 12th pick to the Houston Texans.
He is now the starting quarterback for the Texans. But recently Deshaun tore his ACL in his right knee in practice but before he was fitting well with the team. The last game he played was against the Seattle Seahawks, he threw for 402 yards. But he looks forward to coming back and better for the next season.
