It's the new year and Crete Monee students have their resolutions all planned out and are ready to achieve them.
According to huffington post eight percent of people actually go through with their resolution. Research says that the best way to stay with a resolution is to tell other people about your resolution.
“My new year resolution is to become a better student and help others to the best of my ability.” said Muskan Dhatt
Muskan has a new years resolution and she chose this resolution because she knows helping people will make her feel better as a person. This will help her develop into a better person for 2018.
“I'll try my best in school and I'll push myself in my weak classes”said Dhatt.
This is how Muskan will try and be a better student. She will try and push herself and work harder on her weaknesses. She feels if she tries her best she can do it. Muskan believes she can go through with it the whole year of 2018.
“I feel like the new year is a good opportunity to find out who I really am” said Joanna Galvan.
The new year is a good way to start new and figure yourself out. This is what joanna is going try and accomplish. Making a resolution is one of the best ways to actually make a change.
“I used to think I was someone I wasn't and now i feel like I need to find my true self to endure myself.I’m not going to listen to what people have to say to change me so I'm going to find new things that I like.” said Joanna Galvan
There is nothing wrong with trying to improve oneself. This desire to overcome these things is a very good start to a new year.
“My new year's resolution is to maintain a good GPA and make the soccer team I’m going to make sure that I do all of my school work and practice my soccer skills and have dedication.”said Raquel.
Raquel believes she’ll go through with this if she just focuses.
This is a mindset that people should have all year trying to overcome this resolution everyday. Crete Monee students can they overcome this for 2018 or will they have to try again next year for 2019?
